5.6 Sam Levenson: Just Keep Going

“Don't watch the clock; do what it does. Keep going.” - Sam Levenson

Do you have the courage, grit, toughness, and focus to keep going when it matters most?

On every journey, there are several moments where you have to make a key decision: Will I stop, or will I keep going?

If you decide to keep going, the next decision you will need to make is how - how will you keep going?

A former NBA all-star shared a story about how he started training with a Black Ops trainer after missing a big free-throw. He wanted to be mentally strong enough to push past the missed free-throw. He said during his first workout, the trainer said, “For our warm-up, we are going to run to the blue house.”

The all-star said he kept looking for the blue house, but the trainer said to him, “As long as you keep looking for the blue house, it is going to be a looong run. I suggest you look down at the sand and keep moving, and when I tell you, “Blue house,” we will be done.”

The all-star listened, just kept going, and four hours later, they made it to the blue house.

Writer, teacher, and host Sam Levenson once said, “Don't watch the clock; do what it does. Keep going.”

Your journey is your journey, but there will be a lot to look at along the way, and most of the sights you see are nothing but distractions.

Keep your head down, focus on taking the next best steps, and just keep going.

Question of the Day: What does just keep going look like in your world?
