5.8 Bruce Lee: What If
“If you always put limits on everything you do, physical or anything else, it will spread into your work and into your life. There are no limits. There are only plateaus, and you must not stay there, you must go beyond them.” - Bruce Lee
What if you knew you could become everything you want to be?
One of my favorite music artists of all time is a rapper named Nipsey Hussle. When he was at the top of his career, someone asked him, “What advice would you give your younger self?”
He said, “Be more fearless.” He said his downfall wasn’t his ability to produce, but that he didn’t have even bigger dreams because every time he shot for the moon, he landed there. He said every time he set his sights on something major or outlandish, it always turned out exactly how he thought it would, so he would have dreamed bigger.
Are your dreams big enough, and do you have the talent, skill set, and work ethic needed to achieve them?
Bruce Lee was a famous martial artist and actor. He once said, “If you always put limits on everything you do, physical or anything else, it will spread into your work and into your life. There are no limits. There are only plateaus, and you must not stay there, you must go beyond them.”
Stretch yourself. Dream big, but be willing to do what it takes to make your dreams come true.
Sometimes I use the prompt, “What if …” when I’m dreaming.
Ask yourself, “What if everything worked out how you wanted it to … What would your dreams be?”
Question of the Day: What if everything worked out how you wanted it to … What would your dreams be?
